Connecting Financial Reporting
Enter UserID , Password and Server name for login in to Hyperion Financial Reporting.

You can create a new folder for keeping reports.
File > New > Report

Creating Database Connection with Essbase
You required one Grid to view report. When insert grid in to report, you need to build database connection.
Click “New Database connection”Select database type “Essbase”
Enter Database connection name and search for the application you want to use.
Once all settings complete click ok.
Once connection build successfully click ok...
Creating Simple Report
Once Grid is connected with the database. You will have all available Dimensions in POV and attribute dimensions in separate group box. You can create MDX query by using all available dimension.
Drag and Drop the dimensions in the required fields.
Select pages, columns and rows fields.
